I Kind of Think Michael Jordon is Overrated at 10:36 PM

There is no denying that he can make a clutch shot when the game is on the line in the playoffs but the question that should be asked is if he was that good why was his team that close to begin with? Seems like the best player in the sport should be able to give his team a 10 point lead.

How Jenny ruined Gump at 5:55 PM

I was watching Forrest Gump the other day and got to thinking of how much the ending ruins the movie. The movie Forrest Gump is a treasure trove of one-liners that will last a lifetime (post your favorites in the comments!). It is an amazing movie and is interesting how they weave Forrest into different historical places. Forrest is in love with Jenny (his only friend) and at the end they get married and she dies. Forrest now has a little son and still has his “friend” Lieutenant Dan with his spaceship legs.

The problem with the ending all starts with Jenny. First, she comes back into Forrest’s life after being in and out. Forrest asks her to marry him and she says no. She sleeps with him without using protection (did she expect Forrest to have condoms on him?). Jenny then disappears and writes Forrest later in life. Forrest goes to visit her and it turns out she has had their son. Not only is Forrest a new daddy but Jenny is dying of a “sickness.” Jenny asks Forrest to marry her after he says he will take care of both of them. Did she expect him to say no?

Now my question is what kind of skuzzy ho is Jenny? She has this “sickness.” Could it be AIDS? She was a druggie skank in the 60’s and 70’s. She shot up and slept around. She probably has AIDS. Did she give Forrest AIDS? Does Little Forrest have AIDS? She comes back into Forrest’s life after he is a millionaire. Shady. She would need Forrest’s money to help with whatever she has because I doubt a waitress at a diner gets great medical.

And what kind of “friend” is Lieutenant Dan? He won’t let Forrest be called stupid but he’ll let some ex-druggie ho come back into Forrest’s life and take all his money? The movie is even sadder now because now Forrest and little Forrest will die from AIDS all because Jenny is a horrible person and Dan can’t take care of the man who saved his life more than once. Fuck Jenny and fuck Dan too!

For a return to bloggin I thought I would return to my favorite blog of all time that I have ever written. It is short and hilarious. I hope to achieve this level of posting each time and am intimidated by a post I wrote over 4 years ago. Let's set the bar high.
